A guided study path from VCP to VCDX on VMware Cloud Foundation 9 — pick a goal, follow the plan, prove each step in the lab.

What this is

VCDX Academy is an independent, self-paced study site for the VMware Cloud Foundation certification ladder: the VCP-VCF exams, the VCAP exams and the VCDX defence. It is built from one versioned content set — 21 study sections, 168 hands-on labs, 879 quiz questions, 1,173 flashcards, 16 validated-solution write-ups and 14 exam blueprints — and every page is generated from that data, so the material stays consistent across versions.

The material covers VCF 5.2 as the migration baseline, VCF 9.0 as the exam target and the 9.1 delta on top, with a version filter on every section so you can read one era at a time.

What it is not

It is independent study material. It is not a Broadcom-authorised course, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Broadcom, and it does not replace the official exam blueprint or the official training. Treat every fact here as something to verify against Broadcom TechDocs before you rely on it in an exam answer or a design.

It is not a lab environment. Hands-on labs are written for the Holodeck toolkit; a Holodeck-capable host (or an equivalent nested VCF deployment) is required to do them rather than read them.

How to use it

Six steps, repeated section by section. Your plan orders them for you.

1Set goal2Follow plan3Study section4Do lab5Pass quiz gate6Simulate exam
  1. Set goal — Answer the five questions below once. Your answers stay in this browser only.
  2. Follow plan — My plan lists your sections, labs and gates in order, with a week estimate per stage.
  3. Study section — Read the section's theory and takeaways; mark it complete when you are done.
  4. Do lab — Work through the tasks, tick each one, pass the validation step and mark the lab complete.
  5. Pass quiz gate — Score at least 80 % on the section quiz before the plan moves you on; weak areas go to Revise.
  6. Simulate exam — Run the timed mock for your exam until you clear the target score, then book the real one.

Expectations and limits

  • Independent study material — not a Broadcom-authorised course, not affiliated with or endorsed by Broadcom.
  • Does not replace the official exam blueprint: read the official exam guide for every exam you sit, and use the Curriculum page to see which objectives this site covers, partially covers, or does not cover yet.
  • Verify against Broadcom TechDocs: product behaviour changes between releases and this material can lag. Report a wrong claim from the link at the foot of any page.
  • Holodeck required for hands-on labs: without a lab host the plan shows labs as read-through items with the validation steps as self-checks.
  • Progress lives in this browser's storage — nothing is sent anywhere. Export it from the dashboard before switching machines.
